The NTL logo incorporates the following elements:

• Secchi disk – most common tool in limnological monitoring
• Timeseries – represents our mission of long-term monitoring
• 11 study lakes – four southern lakes (bottom left quadrant) and seven northern lakes (top-right quadrant). The length of the bars represents the depths of the 11 lakes. The colors also mimic the water color of the lakes.
