Using MobileFish

This document describes how to use MobileFish and related tools before, during, and after data gathering.

Preparing Sets in Advance
You can set up your data sets in advance using the Set Prepopulation Tool, available under resources.

  1. Download the Set Prepopulation Tool.
  2. Create a CSV file describing your sets.
  3. Run the Set Prepopulation Tool.
  4. Browse to your CSV file. If you were using Excel, make sure you have closed the CSV file in Excel.
  5. Click the Read Data from CSV button.
  6. Modify the data if necessary, then hit Save.
  7. Choose an output directory, then hit the Generate button.

Set CSV File Format
The columns should be as follows:

  1. Sequence number
  2. Lake ID: One of AL, BM, CB, CR, FI, ME, MO, SP, TB, TR, WI.
  3. Gear ID: One of BSEINE, CRAYTR, ESHOCK, FYKNET, MINNOW, TRAMML, VGN019, VGN025, VGN032, VGN038, VGN051, VGN064, VGN089.
