Installation of MobileFish

This document describes how to install or upgrade MobileFish on your Pocket PC. Additional tools for PC are located under Resources.

Installing or Upgrading MobileFish

  1. You must have Microsoft ActiveSync installed and working on your PC.
  2. Connect the Pocket PC to your Desktop PC. Make sure ActiveSync recognizes the device.
  3. Download the installer to your hard drive: MobileFish v5.0.0.1213 Installer for Pocket PC
  4. Run the Installer on your Desktop PC.
  5. Install the .NET Compact Framework and SQL Server CE (the first two options). If they are already installed and at the latest version, it will not make you re-install them. Otherwise it will install or upgrade these components on your Pocket PC.
  6. Install MobileFish5 (the rightmost option).
  7. MobileFish 5 should now be installed. You can find it on your Pocket PC's Start menu or under Programs.
